General Questions:

Refund Policy

Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS unless you have been double charged or accidentally signed up more than once.

Standard race policy  states that when emergency conditions such as weather, threats of terrorism, medical emergencies, or any potentially unsafe condition out of our control force cancellation of an event, refunds cannot and will not be provided since funds have been spent on race day already.

What do I get for my entry fee?

All participants in the Wicked Halloween 10K, 5K & Half Mile events receive a race shirt and the post-race food. All participants are eligible to compete in our Costume Contest.  All 10K, 5K, and Half  Mile finishers receive a finishers medal. Age group awards are presented for the 10K and 5K events for males and females in the top three places in the age groups 10-14 years, 15-19 years, 20-24 years, 25-29 years, 30-34 years, 35-39 years, 40-44 years, 45-49 years, 50-54 years, 55-59 years, 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70-74 years and 75+ years.

Wicked Double participants: Runners registered for the combined 10K & 5K events receive a shirt, a finishers medal for both the 10K and 5K.  Participants must start in the first wave of 10K and no later than the second wave of the 5K.

What are the age limits for the races?

There are no age limits. We encourage participants of all ages to join us.

Are the race events walker friendly?

Yes, we will have plenty of participants that will walk. If you plan to walk the race, we do require that you line up at the back of the race corral so as not to impede the faster runners. 10K Time Qualifier: Participants must run at “18 minutes or less pace per mile” to register for our 10K event

Are there refunds if cannot attend? Can someone else run with my bib number?

NO REFUNDS; ONLY TRANSFERS ALLOWED TO ANOTHER PERSON BEFORE OUR ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES!

Are baby joggers or strollers or pet dogs allowed during the race?

If you choose to run with a baby jogger or a pet dog, you must seed yourself in the back of all runners. It is your responsibility to make sure the baby jogger or pet dog does not impede other runners as well as you must take extra precaution as to your safety, your child’s safety and the safety of the runners around you. We reserve the right to pull any person from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves.  All dogs MUST be kept on a SHORT leash.

Are headphones (iPods, mp3 players, etc) allowed during the race?

Headphones are allowed for any runner however, we do recommend that runners use extreme precaution when using headphones during the race event for safety reasons.

When is the last day to register?

The last day to register “online” is Thursday, October 28th by 11:00 pm EST.

Race Information:

Can I register on race day?

Do you accept credit cards for registration race day?

No, cash only.

Will there be water stations?

Yes, there will be water stations about every mile in the 10k, and at the halfway point of the 5k event. Also water is provided at the start & finish areas.

Will there be medical aid stations?

The Medical Aid station is located at start/finish line area and course marshals on all three courses have two-way radios for contact with public safety officials.

Will there be bathrooms/portable toilets available?

Indoor restrooms are available at the Plymouth Arts and Recreation Center (PARC) and at The Gathering pavilion. Portable toilets are available at start/finish area next to The Gathering pavilion, adjacent to Kellogg Park, at the 3 mile aid station on the 10K course, at the aid station at the combined 4.5 mile-10K course/halfway point of the 5K course location.

Where can we park for the races and are there shuttle buses?

Parking is available in downtown Plymouth, both on-street and in municipal lots.  The City of Plymouth charges $5 per vehicle in for municipal parking lots and structures.

There will be NO SHUTTLE BUSES at this event.

Where are start/finish lines and the event start times?

THE FINISH LINE SHUTS DOWN AT 10:30 A.M.  Start and Finish lines are at Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth. Wicked Halloween Run 10K at 7:45 am, Half Mile at 8:00 am and 5K at 9:00 am.

What times do the courses close?

THE FINISH LINE SHUTS DOWN AT 10:30 A.M.  The Wicked Halloween Run 10K street course, from the start through mile 3, will be available until 9:00 AM at which time any remaining 10K participants must move to the sidewalk until joining the remainder of the course which is shared by the 5K race.

The Wicked Halloween Run 5K street course will be available until 10:30 AM at which time any remaining participants must move to the sidewalk or proceed at their own risk. The timing mats will be shut down at 10:30 AM and times will no longer be recorded. Water and food buffet will also be stopped. City of Plymouth Police and subcontractor monitoring may also be discontinued.

B-Tag chip timing?

Runners will need to wear Race Bib on their front – shirt/ jacket/ pants – to be scored in 10K & 5K Run/Walk events (ChronoTrack B-tag is on the bib).

Awards:

Age Group Awards?

Age group awards are presented for the 10K and 5K events for males and females in the top three places in the age groups 10-14 years, 15-19 years, 20-24 years, 25-29 years, 30-34 years, 35-39 years, 40-44 years, 45-49 years, 50-54 years, 55-59 years, 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70-74 years and 75+ years. Awards be given out at the Awards tent in Kellogg Park at 9:30 AM. If you think you have won an award, please check at the Awards tent. If you are unable to wait for the official results and pick up your award on race day, you may have a friend pick it up or pay to have it shipped.

Costume Contest:

How do the costume contest awards work?

We will be judging for the “Top Three” winners in the following Divisions:

  • Individual Costume – costumes of only one person
  • Partner Costume – costumes with two people
  • Group Costume – 3 or more people forming a group theme (limited to 3 awards)

Costume contest will begin post race

Awards: At 9:45 am on main stage located at the start-line area.

Costume Contest Rules

  • You must be a registered participant and complete the race event in your costume to be eligible for prizes
  • Judging will be done by fellow runners in a group setting
  • You must have a race number visible to be eligible for the Costume Contest and please keep your race bib number on for winner announcements.
  • You must be present at the awards ceremony to win a prize.
    Judges will be looking for originality, authenticity, overall theme and craftsmanship!
